Your partnership is key to what we do and we’d love to connect with you further. Meet some of our team.

LORNE HAMLYN
COUNTRY DIRECTOR, WATOTO CANADA
Lorne Hamlyn grew up in Newfoundland, Canada and graduated from EPBC with a Bachelor of Theology degree. He and his wife Krista had the privilege of serving as team leaders on the Watoto Children‘s Choir from 2005 to 2007. After working in Alberta for several years, Lorne was invited back to provide leadership to the Watoto Canada office. He loves the opportunity his current role gives him to serve God by raising support for the work Watoto does to care to the most vulnerable in Uganda and South Sudan. Lorne and Krista live just outside of Hamilton, Ontario and have two beautiful daughters, Kylie and Kendyl, and a sweet Golden Doodle named Rosie.

SARA HAVLIK
DIRECTOR OF FINANCE, WATOTO CANADA
Sara Havlik was introduced to the world of accounting at an early age by her father. She used to assist him with his volunteer work of preparing income tax filings for under-resourced families in their community. Sara has worked for years within Finance and attained her accounting professional designations of the Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Certified General Accountant (CGA). Sara’s financial and accounting expertise, as well as her passion to help the most vulnerable, led her to serve at Watoto Canada as the Director of Finance beginning in 2017. She and her husband, James, have two boys, Stephen and Joshua, and volunteer as a family at their local church in various initiatives and community outreaches.

JENNIFER RAMNATH
COMMUNICATIONS & OPERATIONS MANAGER, WATOTO CANADA
Jennifer Ramnath was born and raised in the Greater Toronto Area. She graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, and from Brock University with a Bachelor of Education degree. Jennifer is married to Chris Ramnath, and happily resides in Brampton, Ontario. She has been serving with Watoto since 2016 and loves working here because she feels called to care for orphans and widows in their distress. Here, she is able to be involved, and see firsthand how the love of Jesus is transforming the lives of women and children in Africa.
