Meet Mama Phiona

And it’s not just Israel, in fact, Mama Phiona has a full house raising eight energetic children in Watoto’s Suubi village. Although her days are busy, she is confident that with Christ as the foundation, her family will flourish.

When she first visited Watoto Church years ago, she never imagined what the future would hold. As a single mother, with little means to raise her two small kids, it was a dream come true when she received the opportunity to become a Watoto mother.

Excited for a fresh start, Mama Phiona felt blessed that in addition to her two young children, she was able to welcome six kids who needed her into their little family. Through every accomplishment, milestone, and even the hard-learned lessons in life, she is there to hug and nurture each of them as she points them towards Jesus.
