In 2006, Watoto hosted its first Conference inviting African pastors to learn more about the Watoto Model.

Since then, a number of churches in Africa have been empowered to start their own village based on the Watoto model.

At Watoto we run an effective model, not a classic orphanage but we focus on residential, holistic care. We've had credible results and the kids are happy, healthy and whole and are set up to be responsible Christians and productive citizens. That’s the reason why we are letting those who are interested know that we'd like to help them do the same – replicate the Watoto model where it will help to rescue a child, raise a leader and, in so doing, rebuild nations.

"The church is the answer to every problem including the problem of HIV/AIDS and war. The solution must be tied to the local church and so we want to identify and develop solid, trustworthy relationships between pastors in Africa and those in the West to mobilise this vision.

Watoto's dream is to see 10,000 churches replicate the model to rescue more than 2 million orphaned and vulnerable children across Africa.

We believe that Networking of Churches is the key to fast tracking the replication of the Watoto model. Development of strong relationships and long term commitment will lead to Partnerships that will continue to rescue orphaned and vunerable children across Africa.
