WATOTO360 SPORTS GALA AT SUUBI

2 March 2011

Watoto’s Suubi Children's Village was taken by storm to a Saturday morning of fun and games as Watoto360° students, both former and current, dedicated 27 February 2011 to a day with the Watoto children at their home. The essence of the visit was to minister to the children through sports and conversation for those that weren’t actively involved in the ongoing games. The programme that involved international and local students was a delight to watch as they all played till they could play no more. The joy of the students was evident in the hysterical laughter while at play and with the Watoto children. Great teamwork was displayed and jubilation and excitement marked the day.

“Coming here today has changed my perspective on Watoto Children's Village and the children because it has been a long time since I last came here and I have also had a significant physical workout,” says Simon Atuha, a student of 360° 2011.

Some of the games included basketball, volleyball, dodgeball and football. This was just one of the many outreach activities taken on by the 2011 class.
