WATOTO STUDENTS EXCEL IN A'LEVEL

29 February 2012

Watoto students have been named among the best performing candidates countrywide in the recently released Advanced Level results for 2011.

The Uganda Advanced Certificate in Education (UACE) is a national exam that allows students entry into university and other tertiary institutions.

In December 2011, forty two teenagers from Watoto took the exam, five of whom have excelled with distinctions. They were given recognition in New Vision (29 Feb '12), the leading daily newspaper in Uganda.

"I'm very proud of the students and I want to thank them for being good examples to the younger children.

Overall, the 2011 performance is better than 2010 and our students are taking great strides in their education," says Dorcas Kibirige, Education Team Leader: Watoto.

Watoto Education has expanded rapidly. Currently, we operate 2 High Schools, 3 Primary Schools with nurseries and kindergartens, and 1 Vocational School across the 3 Watoto children's villages.
