Following her safari at Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda, Michelle Bonilla was invited to a press conference at the Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters on Tuesday 6 December 2011. The renowned international gospel artist, accompanied by her husband, excitedly described the scenery and different animal species they encountered while on their safari.
When asked about her experience in Uganda, she said that she loved the people and that the culture was refreshing compared to the busy city life she is used to.
She talked about visiting the Watoto's Children's Villages and commented, "Watoto Child Care Ministries has one of the most amazing foster care systems in the world." She further explained how Watoto's vision to rescue, raise and rebuild was inspiring and that no other global organisation has managed to replicate a model like it.
She even expressed, with great determination, her desire to record a song with the Watoto Children's Choir for her next album and stressed how she would follow procedure in order to attain an opportunity to record the song with them.
She passionately believes in Watoto's vision which in turn produces leaders with integrity, good principals and most importantly a christian foundation. She hopes to return to Uganda with her church to participate in building even more homes in the Watoto children's villages.

Today, Michelle is in rehearsals in preparation for PhatFest, which will be held at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds this Friday, starting at 6pm. The annual music festival is hosted by Watoto's radio station, PowerFM.
