RESTORE TOUR: TESTIMONIES

1 March 2011

As Watoto’s Restore Tour: Child Soldier No More continues to traverse Southern Australia, we want to share some of the incredible testimonies from people who have had an unforgettable encounter with the life-transforming stage production.

"To all the people at Watoto, especially the amazing team from Watoto' Restore Tour: Child Soldier No More, thank you. Thank you for coming to my school and inspiring us with your music, energy of fun, smiles of hope and faith. We, school students in Melbourne, were amazed at what we saw. There are no words to describe how I felt watching the incredible stories unfold before me. I am so thankful for  showing me (and many others) your amazing stories of loss, hurt, forgiveness and love. I will never be the same person because of what I have seen from you. It will impact me for the rest of my life. It will inspire me to trust in God, to forgive and to live to the fullest with appreciation of everything. So thank you Watoto for giving us the chance to witness stories of inspiration. I am so grateful. Best wishes to everyone."
Maddy, Melbourne

"I saw Watoto's Restore Tour: Child Soldier No More at the Yarra Plenty Centre. It doesn't matter what your values on religion are. To see, first hand, the hope that Watoto has helped rebuild in the children and young adults who have experienced unbelievable atrocities in their lives, is truly inspiring. Every person deserves to believe that they are valuable and beautiful individuals. And how do you do that when soldiers have forced you to bite your own friend to death or set your own family on fire? Watoto helps damaged children and whole communities to believe again. I feel privileged to have heard the stories of just some of these brave children."
Heather Inglis

"My friends and I went to see the live event in Adelaide, South Australia. What a wonderful production and a credit to all the children who have suffered so much, and still manage to smile and have so much forgiveness in their hearts."
Cheryl Margaret Davis

"I saw Watoto's Restore Tour: Child Soldier No More at World Harvest Christian Centre in South Australia... All I can say is "wow"! And Thank you to everyone involved."
Ben Stephens

"You guys had an amazing performance at Monroe Free Methodist church. God Bless you all!"
