CAKE FESTIVAL UGANDA

19 July 2011

Students from Watoto’s high schools at Bbira and Suubi Children’s Villages were part of an impeccable presentation at the first ever Cake Festival in Uganda on Saturday 16 July at the Emin Pasha Hotel in Kampala.

Smartly dressed in Watoto uniforms, the students displayed creative cake designs, tasty samples for guests and immaculate customer care, winning several gift hampers from the festival sponsors.

Prof Maggie Kigozi, the outgoing Executive Director for Uganda Investment Authority and the chief guest for the day commended Watoto for taking part in the festival and also its overall contribution to Uganda.

“I would like to applaud Watoto, especially the children’s choirs that travel around the globe. They do so much to promote Uganda internationally. Thank you Watoto,” she said.

Our special gratitude goes to the organisers of Cake Festival Uganda for supporting Watoto. Proceeds from the event were donated to Watoto.
